He’s never there, but he’s all around

My thoughts never leave him,

As I fall to the ground.

He catches me, as I drop.

Held in his arms, my one last stop.

I never thought it would be true,

I never thought I could be with you.

That’s what I would say,

As he took me back home.

As he flew me there, I didn’t want to let go.

I held onto him tightly,

He held me in embrace.

I looked up at his face,

And he smiled down on me.

The smile never left me,

But I never saw him again.

Could this be the end?

Was this all in my head, to actually touch him,

For him to catch me in his arms,

I never thought it would be true, never think it will.

As I wake up, I think about it.

Was it my imagination?
It couldn’t be, it felt so real.

Yet I realize it’s just a fairy tale.

Nothing like that would ever happen to me.

But as I look around my room, he’s standing there,

I jump out of bed, and run up to him, he smiles and hugs me.

I realize maybe some dreams can come true.
